About Me
Davis Luengthada is a multimedia composer born in Bangkok, Thailand. After moving to New York City, he started his music career in the Very Young Composers Program of the New York Philharmonic, which he has since worked extensively with as a student, intern, and assistant teacher. He has also participated in the Atlantic Music Festival Composition Program and New York University’s TV, Video Games, and Advertisement Scoring Workshops.
Davis’s compositions have been performed by members of the New York Philharmonic and professional ensembles such as The Cassatt Quartet and O’Kwarteto. They have also been played at Very Young Composers Showcases at Lincoln Center as well as broadcast on WQXR. He is an avid collaborator and has created soundscapes for Guggenheim Museum Teen events and scored podcasts, films, and theater productions.
Davis was the winner of the inaugural 2023 BMI Foundation Kavi Ohri Memorial Scholarship and was a finalist in the 2022 ASCAP Foundation Morton Gould Young Composer Competition. He is currently attending New York University, pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Screen Scoring.
